Privacy policy
AdQuell is designed to filter advertising and common tracking requests locally in your browser.
Data collection
AdQuell does not collect, transmit, sell, or share browsing history, page content, personal information, or usage analytics.
Information stored locally
The extension stores only the information required to provide its controls:
- domains on which you pause protection;
- custom blocked domains and cosmetic CSS selectors you enter;
- enabled or disabled filter categories;
- aggregate counts of protected page loads and cosmetic elements hidden;
- temporary per-tab counts displayed in the extension popup.
This information remains in browser storage and is not sent to AdQuell or any third party. You can reset aggregate statistics, remove allowed domains, and export or replace your settings from the settings page.
Network access
AdQuell has no remote service and does not download executable code. Network filtering is performed by the browser using rules packaged with the extension.
Permissions
AdQuell requests access needed to apply filtering rules, inject cosmetic filters, store your preferences, and identify the active site when you use the toolbar control. These permissions are used only for the extension’s stated blocking functionality.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
Support
Privacy questions and product issues can be submitted through the support channel linked from the extension’s official store listing and the AdQuell support page.
